Welcome to thecapper.io. By accessing or using our website, data, models, and services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our Services.

1. Description of Services

thecapper.io provides data analytics, statistical models, probabilities, and related information relevant to sports betting. We publish AI-assisted research on MLB and WNBA games, including model-generated picks, player and team analysis, game previews, and post-game recaps.

We do not accept wagers, we are not a sportsbook, and we do not provide financial advice. All information provided on this website is for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this site should be construed as a recommendation to place any bet or make any financial decision.

Our Services include:

  • Model picks and signals — outputs from our quantitative models (hits, strikeouts, home runs, NRFI/YRFI, first-five innings) published daily during the MLB and WNBA seasons.
  • SlateIQ — daily hit-rate intelligence across player prop markets.
  • Game previews and recaps — AI-assisted narrative analysis for scheduled and completed games.
  • CapperU — educational content on sports betting concepts, odds, and analytical frameworks.
  • Player, team, ballpark, and umpire reference pages — data-driven reference surfaces.
  • Performance tracking — a public, auditable record of every published model pick and its outcome.

2. No Financial Advice & Acknowledgment of Risk

Sports betting inherently involves significant financial risk. The analytical content on this site is research and information only, not financial or investment advice.

  • Past performance does not guarantee future results. Our models have a verified public track record. That record reflects historical performance, not a guarantee of future outcomes. Every bet carries the risk of loss.
  • You are solely responsible for your own betting decisions and any resulting financial losses. thecapper.io is a research tool. How you use the information is entirely your own decision.
  • You agree that thecapper.io, its owners, operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any financial losses, damages, or adverse outcomes resulting from the use of our Services or any reliance on information published on this site.
  • Betting markets are dynamic. Odds, lines, lineups, injury reports, and other data used in our models can change rapidly. Information displayed on this site may not reflect the most current market conditions at any given moment.

3. Eligibility and Age Requirements

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction — 21 or older in many U.S. states) to use this website. By using thecapper.io, you represent and warrant that:

  • You meet the applicable age requirement in your jurisdiction.
  • Sports betting is legal where you are located.
  • You are not accessing this site from a jurisdiction where the content is prohibited.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who we reasonably believe does not meet these eligibility requirements.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclosure

A substantial portion of the analytical content on thecapper.io is produced with the assistance of AI systems. This includes game previews, recap narratives, player and team analysis, and certain editorial summaries.

We disclose this openly and deliberately. AI assistance allows our research pipeline to process more data sources, verify more statistical claims, and produce deeper analysis than a single human analyst could produce manually. Every AI-generated article or model output is produced according to our documented workflow and reviewed by a human operator before publication.

That said, AI-generated content has real limitations:

  • It can misread context or overweight statistical patterns that no longer reflect current conditions.
  • It can miss qualitative factors — clubhouse dynamics, manager tendencies, recent injury history — that experienced bettors weigh heavily.
  • It may occasionally produce factual errors, particularly for events that occurred after its training data was collected.

We publish our methodology, data sources, and corrections policy so you can evaluate the analysis on its merits. If you find an error, please contact us.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, predictive models (including but not limited to our XGBoost-based and composite model outputs), scoring algorithms, site design, text, graphics, tools, and data interfaces on thecapper.io are the exclusive property of thecapper.io and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Systematically extract, scrape, or repurpose our data, model outputs, or editorial content without explicit written permission.
  • Sell, license, commercially exploit, or redistribute any content or model outputs from the Services.
  • Reproduce or republish our picks, model signals, or analytical summaries on any third-party site, newsletter, Discord, social media channel, or other distribution channel without attribution and prior permission.
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to replicate our quantitative models from published outputs.

Fair use for personal, non-commercial purposes (e.g., quoting a single pick in a personal post with attribution) is acceptable. When in doubt, contact us.

6. Accuracy of Information

While we strive to provide accurate, up-to-date data — including betting odds, player statistics, lineup information, and model projections — we make no representations or warranties of any kind regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any information on the site.

Specifically:

  • Odds change dynamically. Lines displayed on our site may not immediately reflect current sportsbook prices. Always verify odds with your sportsbook before placing a bet.
  • Lineups are often projected hours before game time. Confirmed lineups may differ. Scratches, late lineup changes, and weather delays can render model outputs stale.
  • Statistical data is sourced from publicly available databases (Baseball Savant, FanGraphs, MLB Stats API, and similar). We make every reasonable effort to ensure accuracy, but source data may contain errors.
  • Model outputs are probabilistic. A pick with a 70% model probability loses 30% of the time by design. No model is right all the time.

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services — including sportsbooks, odds providers, and reference databases — that are not owned or controlled by thecapper.io.

  • We assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any linked third-party site.
  • If you click an affiliate link and create an account with a sportsbook, we may receive compensation. This compensation does not influence our analytical outputs or pick selections. Our models operate on data and statistical methods, not affiliate relationships.
  • Your relationship with any sportsbook or third-party service is solely between you and that operator.

8. Responsible Gambling

We are committed to responsible gambling practices. Gambling can be harmful. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem:

Never bet more than you can afford to lose. Set limits. Take breaks. Recognize the signs of problem gambling.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THECAPPER.IO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
  • Any picks, projections, or model outputs will be profitable.
  • Any defects in the Services will be corrected.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THECAPPER.IO AND ITS AFFILIATES, OPERATORS, AND CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FINANCIAL LOSSES FROM SPORTS BETTING, LOSS OF DATA, OR INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Ohio.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. By continuing to access or use our Services after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
