RotationIQ — Lineup & Closing-Five Research
Per-team rotation projections built from the last 14 days of WNBA player logs. Shows projected starters by total minutes, a closing-five proxy, minute-band ranges (mean ± σ), and a rotation stability score where sample is sufficient. Last updated: Oct 22, 2026, 11:07 AM ET.
Waiting for slate data
The next pipeline cycle will populate this board once today's WNBA slate and player logs are available.
How this works
For each team in today's WNBA slate (read from the odds warehouse), the builder pulls every player whose game-log file lists that team and aggregates the last 14 days of games.
- Projected starters — top 5 by total minutes in the 14-day window. v0 proxy until ESPN's starter flag is captured in the game-logs builder.
- Closing five — same as projected starters in v0. ESPN's play-by-play does not expose stint-level lineup data, so we cannot yet differentiate "on-floor in last 5 minutes" from "high-minute starter." Honestly labeled rather than fabricated.
- Minute-band — when a player has 3+ logged games, mean ± 1σ on minutes (clipped to 0–40). 1–2 games shows a single point or min/max with low confidence. Bench rotation lists players with at least one logged game in the window.
- Stability score — top-5 player overlap across the team's 2 most recent games with 5+ logged players. Returns "—" when the sample is too thin.
- Confidence pills — High (5+ games), Medium (3–4), Low (2), Very low (1), No data (0).
v0 limitations are documented in the data inventory at reports/rotation_iq_data_inventory.md. Expect the signal to sharpen materially once 2–3 weeks of slate accumulation fills out the starter / closing-five sample.
