Texas escaped Chase Field with a 7-6 win over Arizona, surviving a late three-run homer and a two-run ninth to take the rubber match. Cal Quantrill earned the victory with six innings of two-run ball, scattering four strikeouts across 70 pitches and lowering his ERA to 2.90. Eduardo Rodriguez took the loss despite punching out seven over 5.1 innings, allowing three earned on 99 pitches and seeing his ERA tick up to 2.62. Corey Seager delivered the decisive offensive performance. He went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer in the first, an RBI single in the sixth, and two runs scored. The Rangers piled on four runs in the fifth inning, two on a Josh Jung single that turned into a two-run error by Lars Nootbaar, then one more on a Brandon Nimmo single.
