Los Angeles Angels at Washington Nationals

Washington erased a one-run deficit with four runs in the bottom of the eighth to beat Los Angeles 6-5 at Nationals Park. The Angels led 5-2 entering the frame before the Nationals strung together four consecutive hits to complete the comeback. Rodriguez started for the Angels and worked 5.1 innings, striking out four and allowing two earned runs on 93 pitches. His ERA now sits at 6.10. Cornelio mirrored Rodriguez with four strikeouts for Washington. Both K totals matched model output. Moisés Ballesteros homered in the fourth and Zach Neto followed with a solo shot in the fifth to stake Los Angeles to a lead. Ballesteros finished 1-for-2 with two RBI and also added a sacrifice fly in the eighth. Neto went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and his 26th home run of the year. The model leaned YRFI and runs crossed in the first inning. Washington's eighth-inning rally began with a Daylen Lile triple that scored Yohandy Morales, who had gone 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Jorbit Vivas, Jacob Young, and Dylan Crews each singled to plate the tying and winning runs. Erik Tolman earned the win in relief, Luke Murphy took the loss, and Jack Sinclair recorded the save.
